so i was sitting under the huge green umbrella
at Temasek Towers Starbucks this morning
over a double tall toffee nut latte
and a blueberry merry bagel
watching the water flow down the sculpture steps
glimmering, reflecting
and the marble- sculptured children
shining in the bright morning light
i spread a thick layer of cream cheese
on my blueberry merry bagel
and plunged my teeth into the warm dough
and thought about you
and i smiled
could a girl ask for more?
