when i was a kid, my dad warned me abt the elephant glue
"never let it get to your fingers, they could be stuck forever"
i went to the bookstore in search of elephant glue
so that i could fix my shoe's falling ribbon.
the dude said there was no elephant glue,
asked me if i wanted uhu instead
uhu is friendly.
uhu is sticky and guey
and u spread uhu on your hands
and spend the entire art class peeling it off.
so ok, it's quite strong anyway, should do the work.
BUT, he gave me uhu super mini.
which looked cute and small
and i thought was probably handy travel size of uhu sticky guey.
i bought it.
took it out, pierced a hole in the aluminium top,
got glue ALL over my hands.
first thought: it's sticky guey, peel off later
second thought: shit it's not sticky guey, it smells like elephant glue
third thought: im getting a headache from smelling it, my fingers are stuck
i tore my fingers apart
kept them apart
they're not stuck together thank GOD
but there's hardened elephant-like glue all over my hands
that i've to spend the entire christmas peeling off : (

dear pam, welcome to the world of archi experiences. hehe. i know what you mean totally. i was doubtful at that moment when you said pierce a hole at the top cos usually that applies to ...super glue (or elephant glue so you call it) and usually normal ulu just oozes out thru the nozzle, ready..
so the point is, really i dont think you have to wait till christmas.. just wash your hands often and they'll peel out soon. really. i peeled 2/5 glue covered hand out in one night. not very consciously.
or you might just grow to love having crinkly and rough hands. dont know about your lover though. :)
